Full of well-established neighborhoods, Avoca is primarily made up of 3- to 4-bedroom homes built starting in the 1940s, as well as a few apartment complexes. This area includes the Marlyn Hills, Tennessee Hills, and Sunny Brook neighborhoods, as well as many others. Avoca is known for the Twin City Drive-In Theatre and its beautiful mountain views. The family-operated theater was built in 1949 and is open on weekends during the spring and fall and nightly during the summer. It doubles as a temporary campground for NASCAR and drag race fans.
